In my opinion, Saudi Arabia is the most secured country in the Middle East. One of the reasons is that it applies Shari’ah (law of Islam). So, if you are a criminal -fortunately you're not- you should think thousands times before committing your crime.

For me, as a permanent resident in KSA for 11 years with my wife , daughter and son, I feel secured here more than any other place. In addition, I have met hundreds of westerns  (British, Americans, Swiss and others) having the same feeling and opinion.

A Swiss VIP works in Riyadh asked me recently during a meeting: "What are your expectations regarding the terrorist activities in Saudi Arabia?".

" I am certain that all these will come to an end very soon." with no hesitation I replied:

"Why ?" He asked.

"Let me state first that I am not a security expert. I am just a writer, OK" I said.  "But when you live in Saudi society you'll notice that the tribe is playing an outstanding role in the daily life of Saudi personality.

Those terrorists are not challenging only the stable government but also they are challenging their own tribal values, customs and traditions as well.

First, One of the most Arabian tribe's respected value is to treat hospitably, protect, respect and kindly receive  the visitor or GUEST. this value was respected before Islam and assured strongly by Islam and prophet Mohammad (Peace Upon Him).

Accordingly, the terrorists who attacked the western expatriates recently are now socially isolated. You may don't know how hard it is to loose tribe's support in a such community. 

Second, Saudi government has launched an anti-terrorism war against the extremist groups during the past few years supported by the largest majority of Saudi people who are refusing and condemned these anti-Islam and anti-Arabian values activities. In the same time, The Custodian of the Holy Mosques; King Fahd has given them an opportunity for one month to be treated well if they surrendered. This leaves those terrorists uncovered from the public opinion's support.

Third,  the Western countries -mainly USA and UK - which supported those terrorists in the past as a tool against USSR's influences in Afghanistan have realized that they made a vital mistake. After the global procedures launched by USA to monitor and prevent their financial resources with Saudi cooperation the terrorists groups are more and more isolated and weakened.

Fourth, the fundamental extremist sister groups who reviewed their radical ideology, especially the Egyptians, refused and condemned these attacks in Saudi Arabia and  issued an explanation of their refusal supported by very convincing religious references.

The nearest conclusion should be  the End of terrorism in KSA is  imminent and we will see.
